QNAP QXG-2G2T-I225 dual-port 2.5GbE PCIe card built on Intel I225-LM controllers is well-suited for PTP (Precision Time Protocol) applications. Each port supports hardware timestamping, enabling sub-microsecond synchronization accuracy under Linux PTP or similar stacks.

I225-LM chipset generates timestamps in hardware at packet ingress|egress to eliminate jitter and improve precision over the host OS clock. Used in low-cost grandmaster or boundary clock builds, PTP servers, and synchronized edge devices.
